The Accounting, Finance, and Business (AFB) Student Advisory Board was established two semesters ago with the mission to increase awareness and educate business students with Career and Professional Development resources and knowledge to help accelerate their careers and encourage career exploration. The AFB Student Advisory advocates for the members of the AFB career community (765 students) and works to plan events to enhance student’s professional development, networking strategies, and encourage career readiness!
As the Spring 2019 Semester draws to a close, let’s recap AFB’s impact:
- AFB worked together to host 4 events: Alumni Panel, Business Club Fair, Working Women’s Panel, and the Big Interview Workshop!
- These events had over 110 attendees.
- We met as a board 13 times and increased awareness through tabling efforts.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the AFB e-board (10 students) and AFB student advisors (25 active) who advertised and supported these events.
