BEAT THE BURNOUT @ The Wellness Initiative Fair

On Thursday, October 3rd, Mercy University’s Wellness Initiative will host its annual Wellness Initiative Fair. This year’s theme is Beat the Burnout. If you are a student you may be familiar with the concept of Burnout. According to the National Wellness Institute, burnout is a real thing that happens more often than we realize and can be described as feelings of fatigue, frustration, or apathy resulting from prolonged stress, overwork, or intense activity according to dictionary.com. While burnout may have affected all of us at one point or another, the good news is there are things we can do to help keep the burnout at bay.  Instituting regular techniques into your life can help you now as a student and later as a professional.

CPD wants to help you get started by thinking about future occupations in which you can find satisfaction and enrichment. Join us and the Wellness initiative Fair on Thursday, October 3rd at 11am on the Dobbs Ferry campus in front of Hudson Hall. There you can explore career paths in which you can find value as well as learn some other healthy techniques to beat the burnout. Remember, try to be proactive rather than reactive and beat the burnout before it shows up. I look forward to seeing you there.
