Spring 2020 Internship Grant is Now Open!!!

When it comes to internship experience, employers are more likely to hire students who have experience in the field. They want candidates who know what it is like to do the work in practice and not just in theory. Additionally, doing an internship will also help you make decisions about career paths and solidify your areas of interest.

The internship grant is one of the ways we at Mercy help ensure students the opportunity to get work experience.  We also understand that many of our students have financial responsibilities and needs, which is why students who take part in the grant will not only have the opportunity to build skills and gain knowledge of their industry, they will also not feel financially burdened in doing so.

The Internship Grant offers awarded students, $1500 dollars to complete 135 hours of an unpaid internship. The award is paid directly to the student throughout the semester of the internship. Also, any student interested in the grant can receive help from one of our coaches to find an internship that best fits their skills and interests. We will work with you from start to finish to secure an internship. To be eligible for the grant you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen / Permanent Resident
  • Have a minimum of 30 credits earned by the start of the internship
  • Be in good academic standing

If you meet the minimum criteria and are interested in learning more or applying for the SP ’20 Internship Grant, with an application deadline of November 30th, visit https://career.mercy.edu/channels/internship-grant for more information. Start your grant application today$$$$
