Eye tracking study shows recruiters look at resumes for 7 seconds

Career Coaches often stress the importance of having a well organized and targeted resume prepared for your job search.

The reasons include the fact that the resume is your marketing piece and your opportunity to showcase your skills, professional experiences and fit for the position and/or organization.

In addition, a well organized and targeted resume is important because on average, recruiters spend just 7 seconds reviewing a resume. With such limited time, the first impression you make is critical.
