HAPPY NEW YEAR and Welcome Back to School! There’s some good news for you returning students – there is a new Bachelor of Science program for those interested in health and its called HEALTH PROMOTIONS. This track emphasizes disease management and prevention at the population and personal levels. It will prepare you to be a Health Educator who has the ability to determine the needs of your patients/customers. You will become an expert in health literacy and behavioral changes to provide creative guidance, health advertising and strategic communication. The Health Promotion track will prepare you for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam. Salaries for this field can range from 40,000 to over 70,000 a year, which does not sound too bad to me, what about you?
