Do you want to work for the City of New York? Learn How To at the Manhattan Campus on Wednesday, February 5th!

Good news Manhattan students: DCAS, or the Department of Administrative Services is coming on Wednesday, February 5th for a Career Community Chat from 3-4pm in the Bove Media Room. This is your chance to learn about what they do and their amazing internships and job opportunities to work in New York City!

What is DCAS exactly? DCAS ensures that City agencies have the critical resources and support needed to provide the best possible services to the public. More importantly, they support City agencies in recruiting, hiring, and training City employees. And they are coming to Mercy University to meet YOU!

For this initial meeting, you don’t need a resume, just somewhere where you can take notes so you know what the next steps will be. Do work with your PACT mentor or career coach to get your resume in top shape for when you apply.

And to make it even better, if you attend 3 or more of these chats, you get a Career Exploration Certificate.

What is so amazing about working for NYC after all? Here are some of the reasons:

  1. Hiring based on merit
  2.  Career opportunities: As the largest local government in the United States, New York City employees perform many different challenging jobs.
  3. Competitive salary and benefits
  4. Career satisfaction. What could be better than working to help fellow New Yorkers?

If you have any questions, please reach out to a career coach in any campus that’s convenient for you.
