In this virtual newsroom, you will learn reporting, writing, researching and multimedia techniques for the on-air media platform. Each story must have news value that appeals towards on-air reporting. We follow a very strict code of ethics that ensures we report fairly and accurately, and will concentrate on learning how to write accurately and factually for television. The main focus of this internship is learning how to write and produce professional news content which includes; displaying a command of grammar, spelling, syntax and Associated Press style. This course will also allow you to demonstrate basic skills of interviewing and researching.
• Interns will join Reporter Trainer Dorissa White in zoom meetings every Tuesday from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
•Internship can be done for credit or for experience
• Start date/orientation date is Tuesday, February 2, 2021
• End date is Tuesday, May 25, 2021
•Opportunities for hire become available at the end of the internship
•This internship opportunities are offered to individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate college/ university or those who have no more than a year after graduation
