Remote Internship Opportunity (Unpaid) Fall 2020
The internship scope of services will combine the Membership Department’s objectives for growth and engagement on The Brooklyn App, the Chamber’s new digital platform, alongside collecting data and connecting with members to provide support and assistance. Activities We will work with the students initially to conduct outreach to the membership to check-in and provide feedback on areas of support needed, challenges being faced, membership status and other ways the Chamber can provide assistance. Students will reach out to members who are not on our digital platform and offer to walk them through the on-boarding process, while at the same time engaging them around their Covid-19 experience. These interactions will be used to check contact data against what we have as a check on data integrity, as well.
- Provision of assistance to engage the Membership and convert leads to new members (current, lapsed, leads)
- Ensure an adequate response rate for Covid-19 surveying by providing personal outreach and present findings. Provide a needed service to the Membership and the Membership team
- Achieve updated contact information for member database and directory. Provide Admin support to the dept. by working on projects as needed.
Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
Excellent verbal communication skills
Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and general knowledge of MS Office 365 Suite
Strong customer service background
Detailed oriented and excellent time management skills
Able to work on multiple projects within deadline and with accuracy
Able to understand directions and take initiative to problem solve/offer suggestions
Strong organizational skills, ability to produce reports and conduct research
