PR Account Coordinator
At Buzz Creators, the PR Account Coordinator supports the full team by providing assistance on both agency and client day-to-day activities. It’s your job to proactively anticipate the team’s needs to help “wow” clients with strong results and fresh, creative ideas. Your days will consist of researching client pitch ideas/newsworthy trends, developing strategic PR plans, helping to manage events, monitoring for news coverage, developing and scheduling social media plans and much more to help keep the hive humming!
This is a terrific opportunity for an organized, creative, self-motivated individual to learn more about the PR industry and to gain excellent, hands-on experience. Candidates must have completed at least two relevant internships or have one year of experience in public relations, marketing, advertising or communications. Prior agency experience and strong graphics skills is a major plus!
Main PR Responsibilities:
- Assist in writing press releases, pitches, blogs, calendar listings
- Research trends/breaking news/rapid response media opportunities for clients
- Develop and maintain media/influencer lists
- Research editorial calendars, awards, speaking opportunities and conduct competitive analysis
- Track and clip media/influencer coverage and create client recap reports
- Assist with client/agency meetings and events, and networking events
- Help maintain the agency’s website content
- Assist in training and managing interns
Social Media Responsibilities:
· Analyze and evaluate both existing and potential social media activities, content and strategies
· Assist in developing social media content and graphics for clients
· Pre-schedule content for clients
Skills/Attributes:
- Must be an excellent writer and have strong copy-editing skills
- Be very social media savvy
- Must have strong communications/presentation skills
- Must be ambitious, self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage tight deadlines and multiple projects/accounts
- Collaborate efficiently with other team members/agency partners
- Possess a strong work ethic and sense of purpose
- Prior agency experience and strong graphics skills is a major plus!
