We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who thrives in a smaller environment where ownership, flexibility, and attention to detail are critical.
Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee all core accounting functions and play a key role in maintaining the firm’s financial integrity. In this role, you will not only manage day-to-day accounting operations for 3 business entities but also partner directly with leadership to support strategic decision-making. This position reports to CFO.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a lean environment, wearing multiple hats, and building scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise bookkeeping staff
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger and month-end/year-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and expense management
- Monitor cash flow
- Maintain internal controls
- Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and reporting systems
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Provide financial insights to firm leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervision
- Quickbooks experience
- Prior experience in financial services strongly preferred
- Prior experience in RIA billing (Orion) strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience in a small firm or entrepreneurial environment is a plus
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with leadership
