Organizational Change Management Specialist

Location: White Plains, NY

Position Summary

The Organizational Change Management Specialist will lead change management and employee engagement activities for a complex operational transformation. This individual will partner with project leadership, business stakeholders, and core project team members to plan and execute strategies that support organizational readiness, stakeholder alignment, adoption, and long-term behavioral change.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and effective problem-solver who can build trust, establish strong relationships, and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Experience managing operational transformations within the utility sector is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organizational change management and engagement workstream from requirements gathering through implementation and post-launch support.
  • Engage business stakeholders across the organization to promote alignment, readiness, and adoption.
  • Conduct change impact and benefit assessments, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and readiness evaluations.
  • Review existing processes, documentation, and organizational structures to establish a baseline for change activities.
  • Identify and prioritize departments, functions, and stakeholder groups requiring targeted engagement.
  • Document operating model decisions and develop department-specific change and engagement plans.
  • Create and maintain standardized templates for alignment, communication, training, and readiness plans.
  • Present change strategies and recommendations to leadership and secure stakeholder support.
  • Design and deliver change management materials, communications, presentations, training resources, and engagement activities.
  • Develop change-readiness criteria and provide insights that support implementation and go-live decisions.
  • Track change-related activities, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, and issues.
  • Prepare progress reports and escalate concerns to project leadership when necessary.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure change activities remain aligned with overall transformation goals and timelines.
  • Support post-launch reinforcement activities that encourage adoption and sustain new processes and behaviors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational psychology, organizational leadership, project management, communications, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience leading large-scale, complex organizational transformation projects, programs, or workstreams.
  • Advanced experience managing change initiatives throughout the full lifecycle, from planning and implementation through post-launch reinforcement.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational change management and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to define, plan, schedule, execute, and monitor complex project activities.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder assessments, change-impact analyses, workshops, and organizational readiness evaluations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing projects and producing results in fast-paced, complex, and rapidly changing environments.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting operational transformations within the utility, energy, infrastructure, or similarly regulated sectors.
  • Experience implementing or improving shared-services functions.
  • Graduate-level education in a relevant discipline.
  • Change management, project management, or related professional certification.
