IT Year-Round Internship $20.00/Hour – Purchase NY
The position requires 20 hours or less during the school semester with flexible consideration and 35 hours full-time during the summer. All candidates must be enrolled and actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in an IT-related major.
Responsibilities
The intern will work under the direction and guidance of the Help Desk manager. The responsibilities will include installation and support of software applications, hardware troubleshooting, support of wireless devices, as well as other IT-related duties. The intern will also participate in IT lifecycle management projects (e.g. Windows desktop upgrade).
Requirements:
Computer Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows O/S
- Ability to troubleshoot PC, laptop and printer issues
- Working knowledge of wireless access points and mobile device provisioning
Interpersonal Skills:
- Must be a highly motivated individual who can think systematically
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Confidence to ask questions ‘intellectual curiosity’
- Ability to work independently
- Team player
Communication Skills:
- Ability to listen, clarify, and collaborate with team members, manager and business customers
