We want every student to feel supported and understand available resources as they plan for their return to campus. Come join the Student Affairs team over the summer to support your fellow Mavs! Through telephone outreach, you will gain experience in customer service to improve your competitive edge. This is an opportunity to work behind the scenes and learn about different departments that make your college experience come to life.
Projects will include:
Welcome students back to the Fall 2021 semester and share your excitement for Mercy College
Confirm enrollment for fall term and notify of any missing, required paperwork
Promote campus activities with enthusiasm and positive messaging
Remind students of Mercy’s vaccine policy; demonstrate how to upload information and how to apply for exemptions, as needed
Identify students suffering through difficult financial situations and refer to the Office of Student Financial Services
Document outreach and interactions
Upbeat demeanor with passion for customer service
Commitment to service excellence
Ability to reassure students through transition from remote to in-person learning
Comfort with using a computer to document outreach and interactions with students

Compensation: This position pays $15 per hour.
Time Commitment: 20 hours per week.
Schedule: For your convenience, select the option that works best for you. This schedule will remain the same for the duration of the summer. Weekdays only; weekends are excluded. Select the option and shift that works best for you.
Option 1: Three days per week, for 6.5 hours (includes 30 minutes for lunch/dinner), from 9am-4pm or 2pm-9pm
Option 2: Five days per week, for 4.0 hours, from 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm, or 5pm-9pm.
Location: In-person at any of our three campuses, for your convenience: Dobbs Ferry, Bronx, Manhattan. No remote work available.
Start date: Immediate, to last the duration of the summer.
