Playland Summary: Playland Park, built in the 1920s, is registered as a National Historic Landmark and features approximately 10 historical rides and extensive art-deco historical structures. The 80-acre property has over one mile of waterfront. The Amusement Park 45 rides, a unique Kiddyland zone, arcades, entertainment stage, boardwalk, public beach, Olympic-size pool, an indoor skating rink, and borders a nature preserve and lake. The Park currently is undergoing a $150mm+ joint public private rehabilitation that includes significant infrastructure and building upgrades, new rides, attractions, guest amenities, and 3-5 new restaurants.
Job Summary: The Human Resources Associate supports the Human Resources mission and operations by providing direct service to our valued employees in-person, by phone, or email for a variety of employment needs and services. In this role you will provide administrative support to the Human Resources leadership team following company policy as well as applicable governmental regulations. As a seasonal Human Resource Associate, you serve integral functions and provide support to our core business of creating shared experiences and stories for all who visit Playland.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of administrative tasks, such as data entry, research inquiries of employment data following established policies and procedures, supports heavy recruiting periods, aids in mail distribution and team uniform distribution, and general office related needs such as email inquiries, copies, scans, and faxes
- Receives and follows through on questions and needs from company employees supporting the team in the office, by email or phone, while modeling the company standard for guest service and with a high level of confidentiality. Executes a variety of associate requests and/or acts as a liaison, sharing high level associate concerns with management that are shared
- Maintains personnel files with required employment documents, including performance and attendance records in accordance with company retention protocols
- Assists with projects, as assigned by HR management, including, but not limited to, office supply inventory, personnel file reviews, employment reports, and reward and recognition programs
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in the work area and performs all duties in compliance with company safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
- Helps foster a positive work environment by assisting HR leadership with a visible HR presence, continuous care for employee needs, and boosting morale with positive reinforcement of individual efforts
- Assists HR leadership with the onboarding process, and the tracking of training programs for employees
