Make an impact by…
Supporting the Technical Director in the technical production process, including producing and organizing documentation, technical intent, and drawing packages
Partnering with cross-functional teams including designers, safety teams, and facility teams
Contributing to technical documentation packages including scope of work, deliverables matrix, etc.
Assisting with design and technical research
Tracking technical documentation including design intent drawings, equipment lists, facility design documentation, vendor submittals, etc.
What you bring to this role…
Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
A working knowledge of the live entertainment industry
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
Strong leadership and partnering skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and confidential information
Organize documentation, and clearly communicate concepts with drawings and markups
Thorough and detail-oriented
Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and Adobe (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Familiarity or working knowledge of additional drafting or modeling programs such as Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks, etc.
Current valid U.S. driver’s license
Junior or Senior pursuing a degree, graduate student, or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Program
Earning or completing MFA in a technical design-related field: Technical Direction/Production, Engineering, Architecture and Design, Construction Management
GPA of 3.0 or higher

At the time of application, must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full work availability
Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2020 through December 2020. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
Housing: This internship is located in Glendale, CA. Interns must provide their own housing for duration of internship.
