YAI has immediate openings for entry level Direct Support Professionals to work directly with adults of all ages with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. As an essential worker, your role in this agency is vital to helping people create new opportunities for Living, Loving, Working, and Learning.

Locations: Yonkers, Hastings-on-Hudson, New Rochelle, Valhalla, Scarsdale, Tarrytown, Rye, Portchester, Pleasantville, Peekskill, Ossining and Yorktown.

The ideal candidate to work in this residence would be excited to teach new skills, and have excellent counseling abilities. Additionally, the people in the residence would like staff who are open to going to their favorite places in the community and sharing their enthusiasm for dinning, shopping, movies, art, music, fitness, and fun!

*Multiple shifts available to accommodate caregivers who support children during remote learning. Please see shifts below:

Full Time (Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm or 3:00 pm-11:00 pm)

Weekends (Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am-4:00 pm or 4:00 pm-11:00 pm)

Requirements:

HS Diploma/GED required

Valid Driver’s License required

Experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred

Experience working with adults that have intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred

Ability to participate in 3-5 days of paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial trainings during normal business hours upon hire

Tuberculosis test mandatory for most positions
