Anita is an Audit Manager with KPMG. She ensures that companies’ financial statements are accurate while at the same time managing both the client side and the team side. Anita makes sure the work gets done and the client is happy.

>> Okay, well hi. My name is Anita Chen. I am currently an audit manager at KPMG in the Los Angeles office. So it's actually really interesting in a sense that I don't think there's a fixed description that would describe my job. So basically, as an auditor we're responsible for making sure that the company's financial statements are accurate. As a manager I do a little bit more from both the client's side as well as managing the team to make sure that we actually get the work done and keeping our client happy as well as understanding all the upcoming accounting requirements and things like that. So I think the stereotype a lot of times for accountants is that oh, you look at Excel all the time. You only look at numbers. But to the contrary for an auditor actually I don't just look at Excel spreadsheets. I look at a lot of memos written by our team members as well, kind of documenting the thought process of the procedures that we have performed and also our understanding of the business and so we can better bridge the gap of well how do we know that this number is right or wrong? >> Sure.
