My name is Ed Bustos. I am the Director of International Admission here at Rollins College. The mission statement of Rollins is global citizenship and responsible leadership, so I feel like I'm a little bit responsible, especially for that very first part of it, the mission statement. To increase the country's citizenships here at Rollins. So I travel the world. It's a team, there's two of us. But we travel the world to promote Rollins to high school students. This past March I was gone pretty much for a month. I came home for like three or four days, so I was actually, my schedule started in Panama. Then I was in Brazil, then I did Argentina Paraguay, Uruguay, and Chile. Came home for a couple days, and then I was in five different cities in India and then finished off in Dubai. So it's always interesting, because sometimes some schools will get you a classroom full of students, or you might be there during a break or a lunch, so it could be like just having a table banner promoting Rollins with all the Rollins material. But I like to, when I have the chance to, talk to the students or do a presentation. Either if it's a group or just a one on one. First I wanna tell them where we're located. I think it's very beneficial for us to share our location. We're very lucky that we're a private liberal arts school in Orlando, I say Orlando, even though we are in Winter Park. But it's nice because a lot of people know where Orlando is located, so that's a plus for us. Talk about the small class size, the relationships that we have, the students will have with their faculty members. The global citizenship aspect, our study abroad. All the different activities, the internship opportunities, and obviously have to finish off telling them about the application process and scholarship opportunities. But my day can probably start around seven am, 7:30 am, visiting some high schools, doing a presentation about Rollins and approximately visiting about four to five high schools in a day. Doing some interviews, if I'm staying in a city more than one day I would do interviews in the evening. If not, if my day would probably start at 7:30, I could be at the airport by five o'clock to catch my next flight to my next country/city.
