Fixed-Income Future Sales, Barclays

>> My name is Mark Reuben. I currently work at [inaudible]. I've been there about two years and I'm on their Fixed Income Futures execution desk, in specifically, their Relative Value Group. The way we look at it is, trading multi-laid strategies of a cash security and a future security. Specifically, kind of my desk is two-fold so we're kind of a highbred of a sales desk and a trading desk, so kind of our roles consist of originating business, kind of going out, pitching our futures offering to hedge funds, [inaudible] might entice the clients. And on a day to day basis also executing trade strategies, managing risks, kind of pitching trade ideas, market color, trade flows, that type of source for the clients that we do in fact cover. Since it is a market that's basically open 24 hours a day, our day pretty much starts off around 6:30 in the morning, we come in and kind of start talking with our London desk. We [inaudible] obviously as groups in Europe and Asia as well. So we try and come in [inaudible] London group [inaudible] get caught up on any overnight [inaudible] kind of what our clients have been working with, what their fields have been, then kind of review the upcoming data, the upcoming bad activity of that current day. They kind of get the orders that we're working for clients then kind of really start trading kind of morning calls with our clients kind of seeing what they're looking at today and any questions that they have then kind of throughout the bulk of the day, it's just executing and trading those strategies, kind of managing the risk of possible [inaudible] risks and then kind of working with our clients with what their needs are.
