Katie is in charge of human resources and recruitment for Tessemae’s All-Natural Salad Dressing. When she isn’t overseeing the company’s general HR tasks such as benefits and employee onboarding, Katie is on the road recruiting for Tessemae’s internal positions.

>> Hi. I'm Katie. I am the HR and the recruiter here at Tessemae's. You know, on the HR side, it's all the HR, the benefits, on-boarding new employees, and all that. You know, and the employer appreciation and all that kind of stuff and the recognition. And then from the recruiting standpoint, it's going out and recruiting people for our internal positions and then all of our sales positions. So I ask them to send me a video of themselves, asking why they want to be a part of Tessemae's. You know, what makes them stand out. And then their resume and what, you know, skill sets that they actually would bring to the table and be unique to be a part of this. I don't know intense is the right word for it, but it's like, it's not a culture that I've ever been a part of. And it's fantastic. It's super unique. It's very cut and dried. It's very candid of what we're looking, you know, we don't tell you something that's not going to be happening. Like, you know exactly what's happening when it's happening. Nothing is a surprise. But it's just; yeah, it's like an intense almost, like, you know, I mean if you walk into our lobby, we're playing like [inaudible], like, techno all day long. So, I mean the vibe is obviously like that. So, you know, you just have to be aware that, like, we're going to be screaming down the hallways. There's going to be cuss words. There's going to be all that kind of stuff, but it's great to be, you know, a part of that because it's what you like. You know, it's not like it's coming to work; it's coming to just be a part of, like, something [inaudible], friends, and all that.
