>> My name is Michael, Michael Grinnon, class of 2005, University of Maryland. I work for New York Life as a, for after 5 and a half years as a financial advisor. I am now a partner with our Northern Virgina firm. And my job is, responsibilities include hiring, and developing financial advisors. Typical day, as a financial advisor, I'll talk about that, is, coming into the office, designing your different cases, your clients retirement strategies, putting together a plan, and interacting with, I'd say two to three clients per day. So sitting, going to either their office, to their home, and, designing a retirement plan. So, a lot of client interaction, so you're dealing with people on a day to day basis. A lot of networking, so if you're not having appointments with clients, you're attending different types of events, going out and trying to meet people. Instead of dealing day to day with clients, I'm now dealing with the financial advisors themse3lves. Hiring new financial advisors, and developing them, for instance, in the morning time I teach an hour class, teaching about product knowledge, about retirement strategies, and, help the advisors with the sales process of, the whole entire process of working with the client.
