Hi I'm Jacqui Cornelia. I'm a project director in the healthcare industry specifically the pharmaceutical industry research and development. What I do as a project director is I take a project from its conception all the way to the end goal whichever that is defined by a senior management. Set strategy in line with senior management and their corporate goals. Work with the global team to bring everyone together identify what needs to get done, cross-functionally to achieve that goal and motivate people. Get people in line, encourage them, mentor them, have vision and do what it takes to complete the goal. I've worked on many oncology projects bringing drug development forward for oncology medicines. In particular, pediatric medicine. As well as various other cancers. We basically identify what areas to target and then we go after, we work with discovery scientists and many people with expertise throughout the cross-functional area of an organization to align people to bring the information together and to help find, conduct clinical studies for example, to help find the research needed in order to get a drug approved to help the patients. So it's a matter of working with senior management and knowing what their goals are. So if they have a certain compound that they want to bring forward understanding where that fits in the portfolio and then working cross-functionally with the team to make sure that the team members are aware of those priorities and bringing that forward. A project will last many, many years. Hopefully one is fortunate enough to see it to fruition. It could last, depending on the results it could last, if there are negative results two years, four years. But hopefully a project could last up to 10 years. 10 to 15 years. During the time with the pharmaceutical industry there was extensive travel. Global, which was a fantastic opportunity to meet and work with team members throughout the world and bringing them together for the common goal. So that was a fantastic experience.
