Chris Heckscher ’90 graduated from Rollins College with a degree in political science. Chris shares his experience with Cisco Systems in order to provide the network needed for the city of tomorrow.

>> I work for, I'm a vice president at Sysco Systems Innovation Hong Kong. Similar to Verizon and AT&T, but for Asian Pacific. We build data centers, we build smart cities, et cetera. You know I think a typical day is spent in front of customers or on video conference calls with either my team or with different customers in the region. I do a lot of travelling. So I probably travel 60 percent of the time, because I have people in India, Australia, Korea, China and Japan. The challenge with working for a western company is you're kind of, for the most part you're on call 24/7. But generally, you know, 7:00 AM in the morning, you know, get home about 8:00 at night and generally have some calls up until midnight.
