Alumni Panel: What’s Next? | Accounting, Finance and Business Career Community Student Advisory Board

Throughout the semester, the AFB advisory board has been working closely with CPD to help promote and encourage participation in career events.  On Wednesday, December 5th we successfully executed our first alumni panel. We wanted to expose current students to some career paths after college. Our panelists, Eonathan Constanza ’18 (Marks Paneth), Samantha Scovel ’17 (Madison Square Garden),  and Nkong Tankeng MS ’16 (PepsiCo) provided our students with insightful information. They gave advice about the importance of internships, being organized throughout the application process, and taking advantage of resources such as CPD and the writing center.

It’s never to early to start an internship, but as Samantha Scovel ’17 said, “internships are trials for jobs/industries you’re interested in pursuing, some help you learn what you like and don’t like, but the experience is always insightful.”

If you are interested in joining the Accounting, Finance and Business Student Advisory Board or need help finding an internship check out our resources or email me!
