At the end of last year, LinkedIn released their third annual “Emerging Jobs report,” predicting the direction of new jobs in 2020 and beyond. Trends across the board include the need for AI, employees frequently relocating, and the increased demand for soft skills.

What does this mean for you?
No matter your major or field of interest, these changes affect your future! Ever-present AI may mean a change in the jobs you apply for. Be aware of jobs requiring travel and the price tag associated with living near your future workplace. Capitalize on your soft skills. All these these things should have you brainstorming about your potential career path: What knowledge and skills do you need? Who should you to talk to? What experience is relevant? Where you will live? Be proactive and start investigating now.
