About the New York State Public Health Corps

The NYSPHC Fellowship Program is mobilizing Fellows across NYS, especially upcoming graduates, from a broad range of experiences and backgrounds, including communications, education, social services, public health, and other health-related programs. This effort supports local health departments, other community-based organizations, and the New York State Department of Health.

The mission of the New York State Public Health Corps Fellowship Program is to provide professional development opportunities to enhance and apply public health knowledge through training, education, and mentorship, which expands Fellows’ public health networks throughout their communities, resulting in a robust New York State public health workforce.

These Fellowships are two-year, full-time, paid positions with start dates of August 5, 2024. Fellows will participate in Cornell University’s Public Health Essentials Certificate Program and the University of Miami’s Building Expertise in Administration and Management Certificate Program at no cost, along with other
