Overview of Dept/Division:
Elevators and Escalators is a subdivision of the Department of Subways – Customer Environment and Facilities. With over 380 employees, Elevators and Escalators is responsible for the maintenance and repair of over 300 elevators and 230 escalators within 176 stations and various facilities across the transit system.
Project Responsibilities:
– Install project specific software and files onto to laptops and shared drives.
– Develop a tracking system to inventory deliverables: CDs, O and M manuals, tools.
– Coordinate the digitization of existing O and M manuals with third party contractor.
– Review operational procedures and form. Format into new standard and upload to Content Locker.
– Review controller switch files, document, and upload onto shared drive.
– Review equipment drawings and specifications. Provide feedback to project managers
Special Qualifications or Background Needed:
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform – Power Apps, Power BI
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro
