Overview of Dept/Division:
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) is the management of our organizations physical assets. These assets consist of every part and component that make up our trains, tracks, signals, etc. EAM maximizes the safety, service life, and efficiency of all our physical assets. The Department of Subways is committed to implementing EAM in a manner that improves the performance of our assets, maximizes resource efficiency, and enhances customer service.
Project Responsibilities:
Primarily, the candidate, while working under the project lead, will oversee the review of over 2700 electronic digital engineering drawings and is expected to extract specific data from those drawings. will be trained on how to recognize the items in question and determine the data to be captured. The data will be captured in an Excel spreadsheet, and all work will be reviewed by a quality assurance team. Secondary tasks may consist of performing Signals sustainment related data items such as identifying additional asset data requirements, collecting, organizing, and cleaning of the data at the discretion of the project manager.
Special Qualifications or Background Needed:
Strong attention to detail. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, mainly Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Masters degree Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of related experience in data collection or review of engineering drawings preferred
